Kelly M. Kennedy grew up in Sandy Utah, where he learned to love the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, camping, and snow skiing. Kelly completed undergraduate education at the University of Utah in 2001. Upon completion of his undergraduate degrees, Kelly moved to eastern Washington, where he attended Gonzaga University School of Law, in Spokane, Washington. In 2005, Kelly graduated with honors and received his Juris Doctorate. Before leaving the state of Washington, Kelly took and passed the Washington state bar exam, and became a licensed member of the Washington State Bar.
Kelly then moved back to the State of Utah to join his father’s legal practice (as well as to get back to the fishing, hunting, and ski resorts he grew up with). Kelly clerked with the firm while he was preparing for the Utah bar exam. In February of 2006, Kelly passed the Utah Bar Exam and became licensed to practice law in the state of Utah. In July of 2007, Kelly passed the Wyoming state bar exam and became a licensed member of the Wyoming Bar. Kelly is a member of the Estate Planning Section and Elder Law Section of the Utah State Bar.
Since beginning to practice law, Kelly has been extremely involved in drafting many estate plans, of both a simple and complex nature. Kelly also has gained extensive experience in probate, guardianships, pre-nuptial agreements, personal injury cases, forming and organizing small businesses, drafting contracts, commercial real estate matters, and many other areas of the law.
