Greg Seal was born in Murray, Utah, and he served as a missionary to Australia for two years before graduating from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1971 and then from the College of Law at the University of Utah with a Juris Doctorate in 1973.
Right after graduation, Greg began working with Richards, Bird, and Kump until starting his solo practice in 1978. He didn't, however, stay solo for long. In 1980, Greg partnered up with Jerry Kennedy, thus beginning their 30+ year partnership.
Over the years, Greg became an expert in areas such as estate planning, business planning, and real estate construction and development. While practicing law, Greg expanded his licensure to not only include admission to the Utah State Bar, but also to the US District Court for the District of Utah and the United States Tax Court.
Expanding his licensing was not the only thing Greg did to become an expert. Throughout the years, Greg has been a member of many sections of the American Bar Association and the Utah State Bar. A few sections he was a part of including The Real Property Section, Estates and Trust Sections, and Tax Section. He even squeezed in time to sit on the Salt Lake County Bar Association!
While it may look like Greg lived and breathed his work and education, he found time to settle down with his wife, and together they have four children and twelve grandchildren. A well-seasoned traveler he has become, he enjoys playing golf. In fact, for many years, Greg was a member of the Willow Creek Country Club, even sitting on the board as President!
As of June 2021, Greg has hung his hat up next to his former business partner and retired. Now, Greg is enjoying his retirement with his wonderfully patient wife. Together, they plan on jet-setting across the world and spending as much time with their children, grandchildren, and hopefully great-grandchildren!
