Agreements
Pre Nuptial Agreements: Pre nuptial agreements are a very common agreement entered into before marriage, wherein the parties to be married set forth their expectations, and rights of each party in the event of a divorce, or death of one of the parties.  While sometimes these agreements are used to protect a spouse that has accumulated a significant amount of assets prior to the marriage, many times these agreements can have mirrored provisions, and ensure both parties are equally protected.  Many times it is both parties' desire that in the event of a death or divorce, that each one is able to leave the marriage with the assets that they brought into the marriage.
Post Nuptial Agreement:  A post nuptial agreement is very similar to a pre nuptial agreement, with the main difference being that that the post nuptial agreement is entered into after the parties are married.  This agreement can be used to memorialize expectations and an agreement between the spouses, as to what will happen with assets and rights in the event of a divorce or a death of one of the parties. Sometimes an event or circumstances that arise after the marriage, can result in the parties deciding to enter into a post nuptial agreement.
Purchase Agreements:  Purchase agreements can be used for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to the purchase of businesses, assets, and real estate.  Typically these agreements are fairly detailed and can include provisions regarding price, payment terms, delivery, and many other issues, to help reduce the chance for misunderstandings or disagreements.
